Ching Ming Festival

Ching Ming Festival is one of the 24 segments in Chinese calendar. It normally falls on the 4th or 5th of April because it's depended on the Cold Food Day (105 days after previous year's winter solstice). In the old days, Ching Ming was celebrated 3 days after the Cold Food Day but Cold Food Day was shorted to one day and then abandoned. So nowadays, Ching Ming and Cold Food Day fall on the same day although no one celebrate Cold Food Day any more. Ching Ming is also known as "Remembrance of Ancestors Day" or 'Grave Sweeping Day'.

On Ching Ming, Chinese people will visit their ancestors or relatives' graves. They have to carry incense sticks, joss sticks and paper offerings like paper money and paper clothes and any other paper accessories, depends how serious your family is with this thing. All paper offerings will be burnt for they believe that the relatives can receive the goods and even 'money' this way.

Moreover, they will carry bunches of flowers. Chrysanthemum is normally chosen. So don't give Chrysanthemum to Chinese people as gift because it's the flower used or linked to funeral & worshipping to deceased people although some households may find it to display home on normal days. Food like barbecue pork, steamed chicken, fruit and wine are offered during the ceremony. Then they will eat it up after the worshipping.

Some superstitious people even hang some willow branches on the front door of their houses. It's believed that willows help to get rid of evil spirits, when Ching Ming is one of the days that ghosts and spirits wander about.

Potential Menace to the lives of Hong Kong People

The lives of the Hong Kong people will be threatened in the near future

If you are always required to spend most of the time in outside area, you lives will be endangered. A young Chinese man, aged 22, height about 1.75m, average size, wearing spectacles, has passed the driving test on 30 March, 2007.

According to the reliable source from Reuters, he passed the test without difficulties. He only practised for a short period of time. His valuable experience is mainly come from playing the game "Thrilled Drive" in game centre. It is a very big surprise to everybody that he could pass the test. Many interviewees believed that the testing official was blind on that day. And the feeling common to all of the interviewees is that the end of the day will come and all the human beings are on the brink of extinction.

As a result, many Hong Kong people began to take preventive measure. They think that the most effective method is that they should reduce the frequency of going to the places where the young Chinese driver prefers going.

Charlie Brown Cafe

I think if I need to use adjectives to describe the activities on Saturday, it's fruitful and amazing. After the tea buffet, my friend and I were on the way to the Gucci Shop on Canton Road. When we were walking along the Mody Road, we noticed a small "Charlie Brown Cafe" located on the ground floor of Imperial Centre. Due to the small size of the cafe, we only stayed for a while and then left.

But after a while, we found another Charlie Brown Cafe located along the Cameron Road. This time, the cafe was much bigger. My friend asked me if I needed to take some photos of the cafe inside because she knew that I was a big fan of Snoopy. I hesitated for a moment and finally we walked inside and began our journey of photo-shooting...

Finally, we'd finished taking photos. But we didn't try any food inside. Why??? You can take a look at the price of the menu!!!Though I love the caracters in Peanuts very much, I am always a rational man. I know what expenditure I should spend. So in the process of taking photos, my friend and I felt so scared. We noticed that the staff were watching us. We're afraid of being beaten by them...

Silver accessories from Gucci

After the tea buffet, my friend and I went to Gucci shop. It's an idea always in my mind that I need to buy something to reward myself. In the past few weeks, I worked so hard and slept for only 4-5 hours a day on average. I have made a promise to myself that I need to go to bed and wake up early in the coming years. But I finally broke my promise.

At around 5:30pm, it's a surprise to me that there're many people inside the Gucci shop in TST. My friend and I rushed to the session of accessories. You can't believe!!! We found it hard to talk with the saleslady. Too many people asked and had intention to buy. Ultimately, we began the conversation with the lady. But oh shit!!! suddenly two bitchy women appeared. They kept on asking, trying different sizes of ring, talking a lot of bullshit (Well I like the earrings of Chanel that I wear right now, Oh why doesn't the size fit me so well). When I observed them attentively, they spoke cantonese with a strong accent from somewhere else where I don't know. They wore sunglasses even though it's dark in the sky all the day. My smart friends, I think you all know the result...they finally left without buying anything.

Oh, great!!! finally I had a chance of trying the accessories. Initially, I wanted to buy a bracelet for myself because my friend told me that the price was reasonable. So I tried the bracelet made with silver sterling (shown in the diagram). Actually I loved this item very much. When I knowed that it costed $3xxx.00, I finally gave up. It's beyond my budget. I can't afford. Then I didn't know why. It seems that there's a motivation to make me continue searching something for myself. As a result, I bought a silver ring. I loved the design very much. It's made for this season cause I haven't seen it before.
