Tea Buffet in Hotel Nikko

On Saturday, my friend and I went to Hotel Nikko Hong Kong's Lobby Lounge to have tea buffet. But it was something special cause the theme on that day was “mango-rich tea buffet”. So, the majority of the dishes were made with ingredients of mango.


If I need to comment on the quality of tea buffet on that day, I would like to put it in this way.

First, you should have a try if you’re a fanatic of desserts. Among the deserts that I ate, I highly recommend the irresistible choices of blueberry cheese cake, mango cheese cake, assorted cookies, chocolate mousse, mixed-fruits tarts,… Especially for the blueberry cheese cake, green tea cookies and chocolate mousse, you will regret in the rest of your whole life if you miss all of that. It’s not exaggerated!!!. I think it’s a success because they’re smart in making the desserts in very small sizes. So they’re not so heavy and the guests are willing to try more of them.


Besides, the environment is very nice. It’s so roomy and the distribution of the tables was not so dense that the conversation between the people in one table will not affect others. The view of the lounge is very amazing because you can see outside through the sweeping glass panels. And they put up a lot of artistic decorations from Europe to create an environment in which you were now enjoying your buffet in a palace.

However, if you do not prefer eating desserts, I suggest that Hotel Nikko is not a right place to go. I think the variety of hot dishes is not enough, only some sautéed crabs with mango sour sauce, baked pork neck with cheese mango sauce, golden spareribs and mango French toast. Moreover, as a “loyal fan” of ice-cream, there’re few flavors from which I can choose (only vanilla).

But, in general, tea buffet in Hotel Nikko is one of the good activities that you can spare your free time with your best friends. And it’s a nice way of relaxation after working intensively in the weekdays.
